Welcome to GuitarlessonOnline.com!

Hey Everybody,

Happy New Year to everyone reading this! Can you believe it's 2003? Once again, I want to thank everyone who has signed up, and especially the Premium Members. You are the ones who keep this site going. To date, nearly 2,000 people have signed up with GLOL, learning from the free and Premium Level lessons. If you are not currently a Premium Member, Sign Up Now!! The Premium area is growing every month with new lessons, and the free area is also growing, with the Lick of the Week, articles from Jamey Andreas of GuitarPrinciples, and more. I will be posting some new versions of the beginners lessons this week, with improved interactive features and video embedded in the lessons, so you will not have a seperate real player. These lessons, and all future lessons on the site, will require the FlashPlayer6. If you need free flash player upgrade, go to Macromedia.com .

On a personal note, I have to say this was one of the best Christmas/New Years ever for me, as I became engaged to my wonderful girlfriend, Brooke. Probably won't actually get married until '04, but that's okay. I surprised her with the ring on Christmas Eve, so it was definitely a moment to remember!

Well, on to the updates:For all users, the current Lick of the Week is posted. This is a fun one to play, a diminished arpeggio using economy picking, in the style of Yngwie Malmsteen or Uli Roth. Since I have been spending a lot of time developing the new format lessons, I will (finally) be getting the 3rd in the Basics of Jazz series, focusing on extended chords, up in the The Premium Members Area. Also posting this month for Premium Members will be the first in a series of lessons on Acoustic Fingerpicking. As always, please email me with ideas or requests, or if you have any other questions. If you are not already a Premium Subscriber, consider the benefits:For about the cost of a months worth of private lessons, you get 1 years access to literally hours and hours of real time video and multimedia lessons, with hundreds of exercises, riffs, licks, and more in a wide variety of popular guitar styles- acoustic, blues, rock lead and rhythm, country, and jazz. For more info, click here.

And now, signing up is even easier: $9.95/mo, $29.95/3 mo, or $59.95/yr.! These are great rates just for what is currently available as of today! But with more lessons added monthly, the value of your subscription will increase over time! All 1 year subscriptions are renewable for $29.95/yr. Also, the complete six-part beginners series is available for only $14.95 for unlimited term.

If you would prefer the lessons on CD-ROM, the Beginners disc is available for $17.95 and Intermediate level is $19.95. This includes S&H. Intermediate Vol. 2 will be available soon! Order directly from the site here, or email me to request the CD's by mail.

December was a great month for the band, and one that has brought some changes. More on that later.January's schedule is looking good, with some local dates so we don't have to drive too far in all this snow! Check out the ESP website: www.ESPROCKS.com

Wrestling News: Hoping to pick up a few tapes this month. Looking forward to seeing how WWE proceeds in the new year. Wrestlemania should be great, and this months Royal Rumble will see a potentially fun match with Triple H and Big Poppa Pump, Scott Steiner! Check out all the latest wrestling news at 1Wrestling.com . Can't wait for the next UFC card at the end of February.

That's about all for now! Hope everyone had a safe and happy Holiday Season! Please email me with thoughts or suggestions on the site, and remember, "Keep Practicing".
